SCOUTbox launches subscription boxes made for scouts, by scouts.
U.S.-based company, founded by two Eagle scouts, have released a subscription box service for scouts; shipping is already underway and new subscriptions are being accepted now.

UNITED STATES - Scouting has been a worldwide movement for youth for more than 100 years. Even with its long-standing history, scouting programs can be inconsistent with the level of support, guidance, and gear that scouts receive from their pack, troop, post, or crew. SCOUTbox aims to change that with expertly-curated boxes shipped directly to scouts, scouters, and scouting groups to keep up with the latest gear and continue the mission of Scouting around the world.
Founded by two Eagle scouts, Will Wohler and Chris Tarantino, SCOUTbox is the world’s first scouting-themed subscription box service. SCOUTbox has both a monthly subscription-based service and specific boxes that assist scouts with achieving the various scouting ranks (these are to be released later in 2017). The gear and informational products included in each SCOUTbox are selected, tested, and used by scouts and scouters alike.
Products
SCOUTbox’s initial offering includes monthly subscription boxes filled with outdoor gear, equipment, accessories, memorabilia, and other items - all shipped directly to the consumer.
Shortly after launch, a second product category (tentatively called “advancement boxes”) will be filled with items specifically curated to help each scout achieve their next rank and improve their scouting experience.
Pricing & Availability
SCOUTbox monthly subscriptions will be offered with tiered pricing:
- $40/month - Monthly Subscription (paid monthly)
- $38/month - 3-Month Subscription (paid every three months)
- $35/month - 6-Month Subscription (paid every six months)
Once available, advancement boxes can be purchased separately from the monthly subscription (perfect for gifts).
Initially, SCOUTbox will only ship within the United States and Canada, but international shipping and other programs related to the scouting movements outside of North America may be explored at a later time after launch.
Future Plans
Because the Scouting community is so deep in the United States and abroad, SCOUTbox anticipates launching a Girl Scout version of their subscription service shortly after the launch of the generic version (complete with “Journey to Gold” rank-based boxes as well).
Following this initial offshoot, other scouting interest groups may be considered.
